Brightpoint Infotech has refined Microsoft Best Practices and tools like: FastTrack, Sure Step, Life Cycle Services, Business Process Modeler, etc. to deliver successful projects at a reasonable cost.  While the following steps seem straightforward, experience matters to ensure requirements are discussed, well defined and agreed upon while enforcing accountability on both sides during the project.

Business Requirements & Project Plan

These include the critical functional and process components to meet the enterprise requirements along with the formal project management plan. High level goals are defined along with a detailed discussion with functional experts are mandatory for the Business Requirements portion. The Project Plan lays out the steps, dependencies and assignments.

Components of this include: Discovery, Fit/Gap analysis and consensus that culminate in the requirements and project documents. If requirements change, the business requirements is modified to reflect these changes along with the Project Plan.

Customization Development

Customization of ERP software becomes necessary in every part of the technology and because of this technology development, most of the organizations tend to customize their software as per their requirement. Customization is the process of fitting the chosen ERP & CRM software to the needs of a specific organization.

Third Party System Integration

In today highly connected world, ERP & CRM systems are tightly coupled and often have third-party systems that require integration.

We are experts at this integration and will always default to standards like Dataverse (was Common Data Service or CDS), to connect Dynamics 365 with external applications like:

Banking, EDI, Tax, PLM, etc.

Data Migration

Over 15 years of ERP implementation experience enables us to help you make the best decisions regarding what data is migrated (not all historical data needs to be moved) while considering business value, speed, efficiency and cost.

Reporting

Dynamics 365 includes three reporting solutions targeting different roles, uses and outputs – SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Financial Reporting and PowerBI. The latter two are end user tools while SSRS is intended more for  an IT user.

SSRS – business document reporting – e.g., invoices, packing slips, pick lists and other ERP reporting.

Financial Reporting – as it sounds, for pro forma financials like Balance Sheets, Income Statements, GL, etc.

PowerBI – outstanding user tool with top notch visualizations. You can also embed content into the ERP landing pages and layer in AI/ML insight services to drive causality, aid forecasting and other prescriptive uses.

Our ERP Functional experts will help and guide users to the best tools and use to serve up useful information.
